I wanted a typical young adults room with a computer, desk and reasonable amount of floor space. The location should have suitable mise-en-scene for a females room and space enough for our 3-4 actors and crime scene tape.
Our groups first decision was Amir's house and so we have taken pictures of his room to help us decide, these can be seen below.
Amir's house:
As you can see from these pictures Amir's room had little space for a dead girl and 2 detectives to stand, although the furnitue could be moved to make space it didn't fit the idea that we had of our location, also the general dark colours of the room didn't fit in with the mise-en-scene we were aiming for.
My house:

The pictures I have taken of my house show that although I have a computer, there is limited space and our actors wouldn't be able to fit in very well. Also the mise-en-scene isn't correct as its not a young females room and the area is too messy/crowded.
Because our houses are not suitable for the location we have decided to ask our friend Ellie whether we can take a look at her room, to which she has said we can.
Ellies house:
Ellies house offered us a much bigger space directly infront of the computer, which is exactly what I was looking for. Her computer and desk were in a perfect place with room for the dead girl and detectives to be around, the mise-en-scene was also perfect with the look of an older girls room with posters and make-up around the desk.
Decision:
From going to see the locations it is evient that mine and Amir's rooms were too small and lacked the feminine mise-en-scene that we were looking for, and so as a group we decided to use Ellies.
Ellies was by far the best location we had come across as it offered the correct mise-en-scene, space and a computer so we are going to film in her room.
